About Us: We are working with a vibrant secondary school located in Redbridge, dedicated to providing an inclusive and engaging learning environment for all our students. We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join their team.
Job Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the education of our students by overseeing classes in the absence of their regular teachers. You will ensure that students remain engaged, on task, and adhere to school policies while promoting a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes and manage student behavior in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and facilitate student learning.
• Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.
• Support students in their learning and encourage participation.
• Assist with the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources.
• Monitor and record student progress, behavior, and engagement.
• Liaise with teaching staff and other school personnel to ensure smooth transitions and continuity in learning.
• Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.
• Level 2 qualification in supporting teaching and learning (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
