Job Description
Location: West London (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Rate: £34 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: 3 months ongoing
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pensions Specialist to join a Local Authority team in West London on an interim basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) experience to support the delivery of an efficient and compliant pensions service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage LGPS pension cases in line with regulations and policies
- Provide expert advice to members, employers, and internal stakeholders
- Process pension calculations including retirements, transfers, and benefits
- Ensure compliance with LGPS regulations and relevant legislation
- Support data accuracy and maintain pension records
- Assist with queries, disputes, and complex casework
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver a high-quality service
- Proven experience working within a Local Authority pensions team
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with LGPS (essential)
- Experience processing a range of pension cases and calculations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
