SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist alternative provision school in High Wycombe.
Our client,
Progress Schools, is a nationally recognised alternative education provider with independent secondary schools across England. They deliver high-quality, supportive and inspirational teaching to students aged 11β16 (Key Stage 3 and 4). Their bespoke approach supports positive progression back into mainstream education or onward into further education, work-based learning or employment.
The Role:
- Supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning activities
- Building strong, consistent relationships with pupils
- Supporting behaviour regulation and emotional development
- Promoting engagement and positive outcomes
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or alternative provision
- Calm, resilient and patient approach
- Strong communication skills
- Team player with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
