Are you a nurturing, resilient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping every child thrive? A vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team, working across both the classroom and the school's Specialist Provision. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact—supporting children with additional needs in a school that values diversity, collaboration, and creativity.

Role Details:

  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Tower Hamlets
  • Interview Date: Immediate
  • Contract: Full-Time / Long-term
  • Salary: £103 – £115 per day (dependent on experience)

The Role:

You will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. Working across the mainstream classroom and a well-resourced Specialist Provision, you’ll provide tailored support that helps every child reach their potential.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting
  • Confidence in adapting strategies and resources to suit individual learning needs
  • A calm, compassionate, and flexible approach to supporting pupils with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and empowering young learners
Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group support, both in class and within the Specialist Provision
  • Assist with the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour support strategies
  • Help pupils develop independence, confidence, and essential life skills
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure consistency in support
  • Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for all
Why Join Us?
  • A supportive and forward-thinking school community
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities
  • A chance to be part of a team that genuinely values every child’s uniqueness
  • An opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children who need it most
