SEN Teaching Assistant – Islington - Immediate Start
A vibrant and inclusive school in Islington is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a nurturing and structured learning environment.

Role Overview

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Islington

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: £105 - £110 per day (dependant on experience)

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience working within Primary Schools or SEN Schools

Have a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs

Be able to build positive relationships with students, helping them to feel safe and supported

Be confident in assisting students with communication challenges, sensory needs, and emotional regulation

Work effectively as part of a collaborative team, including teachers, SENCOs, and therapists

Have a patient and adaptable approach to supporting children with diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN

Assist in implementing individual learning and behaviour support plans

Support students in developing confidence, communication, and social skills

Help create a calm and structured classroom environment that fosters learning

Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and accessible lessons

Support students with daily routines, transitions, and activities to promote independence
