Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a
nurturing and structured learning environment.
Role Overview - Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Salary: £105 - £110 per day (dependant on experience)
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working within Primary Schools or SEN Schools
- Have a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
- Be able to build positive relationships with students, helping them to feel safe and supported
- Be confident in assisting students with communication challenges, sensory needs, and emotional regulation
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative team, including teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
- Have a patient and adaptable approach to supporting children with diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities: - Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN
- Assist in implementing individual learning and behaviour support plans
- Support students in developing confidence, communication, and social skills
- Help create a calm and structured classroom environment that fosters learning
- Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and accessible lessons
- Support students with daily routines, transitions, and activities to promote independence
