Job Description
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden is seeking a dedicated Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to provide both academic and emotional support to pupils, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. - Salary: £105 - £110 per day (Dependent on experience)
About You:
- Has experience working with children in Key Stage 2.
- Has experience supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Can provide academic and pastoral support, helping children to stay engaged and motivated.
- Is confident in assisting with literacy, numeracy, and emotional regulation strategies.
- Can build positive relationships with children, supporting their emotional well-being and social development.
- Works well as part of a team, collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Has a proactive and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of pupils with different learning styles.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support Year 4 students in their learning by delivering small-group interventions and one-to-one support.
- Assist with literacy, reading, and maths activities to enhance children's confidence and progress.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and provide emotional support to students with SEMH needs.
- Encourage social interaction and engagement through structured play and group activities.
- Provide a safe, calm, and nurturing space where students feel supported in their development.
