Teaching Assistant – 1-2-1 Support (Autism) – Key Stage 2
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1-2-1 support for a Key Stage 2 pupil with Autism at an Ofsted-rated "Good" primary school. This welcoming and inclusive school is looking for an experienced and patient Teaching Assistant to help a child with their learning, social development, and engagement in the classroom.

As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be working on a 1-2-1 basis supporting a Key Stage 2 child, previous experience supporting children with additional learning needs is essential for this role. This role requires a Teaching Assistant who is available Monday – Friday 08:30 – 15:30.

Job Role:
  • Providing tailored 1-2-1 support for a Key Stage 2 child with Autism.
  • Using strategies to support communication, engagement, and social interaction.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
  • Encouraging independence and building confidence in a supportive learning environment.
  • Supporting the child with emotional regulation and sensory needs.
  • Liaising with parents and external professionals to ensure consistency in support.
