Are you an experienced Tribunal Officer with a strong background in SEND and Education Law? Hertfordshire is seeking skilled professionals to join their dynamic team and make a real difference to children and families navigating the EHCP Tribunal process.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and respond to SENDIST appeals, including mediation and tribunal hearings
- Prepare robust case statements and evidence bundles
- Represent the Local Authority in hearings, liaising with legal advisors and witnesses
- Support resolution of disputes and contribute to improved outcomes for children and young people
- Work closely with SEN Case Officers, legal teams, and external professionals
- Maintain accurate case records and timelines in line with statutory requirements
Requirements:- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, the Children and Families Act 2014, and the SEND Code of Practice
- Proven experience managing SEND Tribunal cases from start to finish
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle complex caseloads and meet tight deadlines
- Experience working within a Local Authority SEND team (desirable)
