Location: Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Pay Rate: £650 per day
Role Overview Pertemps are seeking an experienced Senior Educational Psychologist to support the leadership and development of the Educational Psychology Service (EPS) within Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. This role combines strategic leadership, operational management, and professional supervision to ensure high-quality services for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of day-to-day operational aspects of EPS service delivery
- Review time efficiencies and evaluate service impact
- Contribute to the evaluation and ongoing development of the EPS
- Provide line management and professional supervision to Educational Psychologists and Assistant Educational Psychologists
- Ensure the service meets its aims, objectives, and agreed service standards
- Deliver a reliable, effective, and high-quality service for children and young people
- Promote inclusion by developing and implementing council-wide strategies to improve wellbeing and positive outcomes for children and young people
- Honours degree in Psychology (or equivalent) conferring Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR) with the British Psychological Society (BPS)
- Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology
- Significant experience working as an Educational Psychologist
- Proven experience delivering a wide range of EP work within a Local Authority context
- Ability to act as a professional role model, leading and developing others with compassion and collaboration
- Experience supporting a diverse range of service users
