Location: Southend City Council, Essex
Salary: £37,938 - £43,693 per annum
Working Pattern: Full time, hybrid working (minimum 2 days on-site)
Relocation Package: Up to £8,000
Driving Requirement: Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle (unless local to Southend)

Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of Southend City Council for an experienced and passionate Social Worker to join the Adult Social Care ‘Ageing Well’ team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving the lives of older adults and helping them live independently, with dignity and support.
🌟 Your Role:

• Work with older adults and their families to complete strengths-based assessments
• Develop tailored care and support plans that promote well-being and independence
• Support safe hospital discharges and prevent unnecessary admissions
• Liaise with health professionals, voluntary services, and care providers
• Carry out safeguarding duties and ensure legal and statutory obligations are met

✅ What You’ll Need:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Experience working with older adults or within adult social care
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (unless local to Southend)
• Excellent communication, assessment, and care planning skills
