Playground Maintenance Worker

Role: Litter Picker and Playground Maintenance
Location: Plymouth, PL4 Depot
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 06:30 AM - 16:15 PM
Pay Rate: £12.18 per hour.
Duration: Temporary assignment, expected to run until September 2024

Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough litter picking and ensure playgrounds are kept clean and safe for public use.
Regularly empty and maintain litter bins to uphold hygiene standards and prevent overflow.
Respond promptly to emergency call-outs (within designated work hours) to address urgent issues such as hazardous conditions or damage to playground equipment.
Assist play inspectors as required, supporting with routine inspections and maintenance checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Operate basic maintenance equipment responsibly and report any faults or issues promptly to ensure operational efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities and report completed tasks to supervisors in a timely manner.

Requirements:
Valid driving licence essential, with ability to drive to different playground locations as required.
Strong commitment to reliability and punctuality, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed within designated timeframes.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
Excellent attention to detail to uphold cleanliness standards and identify potential safety hazards.
Flexibility to respond to emergency situations and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
