About the RoleIn this role, you will deliver General Technician Electrical (GTE) modules — structured training courses that develop core electrical engineering knowledge and practical skills, including circuit theory, power systems, fault-finding, and electromechanical systems.
You will prepare learning materials, assess trainees, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and learning. If you enjoy teaching, mentoring, and helping people succeed, this is a rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver electrical engineering training modules
- Prepare lesson plans, workbooks, and training aids
- Assess trainee progress through exams, practicals, and coursework
- Provide feedback and remedial training where needed
- Maintain training records, course reports, and documentation
- Support the development and improvement of course materials
- Promote a safe learning environment and supervise trainees and visitors
Essential Requirements- HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or relevant discipline
- Experience in a relevant electrical or engineering environment
- Supervisory or leadership experience
- Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training (or willingness to complete)
- Either IOSH Managing Safely or Level 2 Supervising Staff Safely
- Previous experience in coaching and training
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Outlook
Desirable- Knowledge of power generation, single/three-phase systems, and electromechanical equipment
- Experience with industrial fault-finding and maintenance
- Familiarity with Airfield Support Equipment (ASE)
- Understanding of RAF engineering trade structures
