JOB TITLE: Employment Solicitor                 
PQE REQUIRED: 5+       
LOCATION: Manchester                 
SALARY: Up to £85,000 DOE                    

THE ROLE:
You will handle a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including high-value tribunal claims such as discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal, as well as senior executive exits, restrictive covenants, restructures, redundancies and TUPE matters. The role will also involve advising on urgent injunctions and confidential information issues. You will act as a trusted adviser to HR teams and senior stakeholders, delivering clear, commercially focused and solutions led advice. In addition to your caseload, you will support the development of more junior lawyers, contribute to training and initiatives and play an active role in business development, supported by an established marketing function. This position offers high-quality work, strong client exposure and genuine scope for progression within a collaborative and flexible working environment.

THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are invited from Employment Solicitors with between 5–7 years’ PQE and a solid track record of managing their own caseload across both contentious and advisory employment matters. You will possess strong technical and drafting skills, alongside the confidence to manage client relationships and deliver pragmatic, commercially focused advice.
You should be comfortable supporting and mentoring junior colleagues and able to work effectively within a busy team environment. A proactive approach to business development and an interest in building long term client relationships will also be important. Previous advocacy experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
