Job Description
Pertemps Staffordshire are currently looking for a Transport Coordinator for their client based in Stafford.
For this Transport Coordinator role, you will be responsible for:
- Conduct colleague despatch and de-briefs.
- Deal with queries in a prompt and professional manner and escalating where required to management.
- Manage equipment defects efficiently and in line with process.
- Ensuring SLA is always met for all equipment servicing/MOT.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are made on time and all delays are recorded and communicated.
- Resource planning of core and agency colleagues in line with schedule requirements.
- Escalate all accidents and incidents and assist with completion of necessary reports.
- Consult with warehouse daily to understand loading position and assess any required changes to the daily schedule without jeopardising the service to stores.
- Engaging with our 3PL's on any potential risk to store service through to resolution.
For this Transport Coordinator role, you will need:
- Be an excellent communicator both written and oral.
- Have a positive attitude 'Can Do Attitude' with the ability to listen and be approachable.
- Willing to receive training and perform duties in all areas of the operation.
- Knowledge and experience of Tachograph, driving hours and the working time.
- Experience within a similar distribution environment is desirable but not essential.
