Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design and deliver high-quality electrical building services. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create integrated, sustainable solutions, working on projects that make a tangible impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical building services systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and fire alarms.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and calculations using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Work closely with mechanical and public health engineers to develop integrated MEP solutions.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to inform design decisions.
• Liaise with clients and project teams, providing expert technical advice.
• Ensure compliance with UK electrical standards, including BS 7671 and CIBSE guidance.
• Support sustainable and energy-efficient design initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical building services design within consultancy or similar sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is advantageous.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical design principles and UK regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for sustainable design and innovation.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality delivery.
