The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical building services designs, ensuring compliance with UK standards, and contributing to energy-efficient, integrated MEP solutions.
Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical building services systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and fire alarms
• Prepare calculations, specifications, and technical drawings using AutoCAD; Revit experience is desirable
• Collaborate with mechanical and public health engineers to deliver fully coordinated MEP solutions
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to validate designs and ensure accuracy
• Engage with clients and project teams, providing technical guidance and support
• Ensure compliance with BS 7671, CIBSE guidance, and other relevant UK regulations
• Support sustainable, low-carbon, and energy-efficient design initiatives
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement

Candidate Profile

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical building services design
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience advantageous
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, UK regulations, and sustainable design practices
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality designs
• Passion for sustainable, innovative engineering solutions
