Location: Yeovil
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (Typically 6 months via agency)
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for long-term work, with the potential to transition into a permanent position and receive further training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling large metal castings weighing up to 25kg and measuring up to 2 metres in length
- Operating in a dedicated X-Ray inspection room to perform quality checks on components
- Accurately recording test results using basic numeracy and formula application
- Following all health and safety procedures when handling materials and equipment
- Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
- Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved)
- Basic numeracy and ability to apply simple formulas
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous warehouse or production experience preferred but not essential
- Temp-to-perm opportunity after approximately 6 months
- Upon permanent hire, the company offers training and certification through their NDL Level 1 and Level 2 programs
