Looking for a role where you can guide learners towards college, employment, and independence?
We are looking for a Key Stage 4 / Post-16 Learning Mentor to join our Alternative Provision, supporting older learners as they prepare for life beyond education.
This is a relationship-led role focused on building confidence, developing life skills, and supporting learners to progress into college, work placements, or employment.
The Role:- Supporting learners (KS4 / Post-16) on a 1:1 or small group basis
- Building strong, consistent relationships with young people
- Supporting Functional Skills (Maths & English) in a practical, engaging way
- Assisting with work placements and employability skills
- Preparing learners for transition into college, training, or employment
- Maintaining clear structure, boundaries, and expectations
- Tracking progress against individual targets
The Person:- Experience working with young people (education, youth work, care or similar)
- Confident supporting older learners with independence and life skills
- Calm, resilient, and able to manage challenging behaviours
- Able to build trust while maintaining firm boundaries
- Practical and proactive approach to learning and engagement
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred

Important Requirements- Full UK driving licence and access to a car (mileage paid at 45p per mile) as some transporting learners is necessary.
