We are currently working with a Local Authority seeking an experienced Class 3 Building Inspector to support their Building Control team on a contract basis.
This is a flexible opportunity offering mainly remote working, with occasional site visits if required. The client is open to both full-time and part-time availability and is offering a competitive, negotiable rate depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out plan checks and site inspections in line with Building Regulations
- Assess compliance with current Building Control legislation and standards
- Provide professional advice to developers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Manage a varied caseload of residential and commercial developments
- Ensure projects meet required safety and regulatory standards
- Class 3 Registered Building Inspector (RBI)
- Strong experience working within Building Control
- Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations and compliance processes
- Experience working with Local Authorities or Approved Inspectors
- Ability to manage workload independently in a remote working environment
- Flexible working arrangements
- Mainly remote role
- Outside IR35 options available
- Full-time or part-time hours considered
- Competitive market day rate
