Job Description
This role is Monday to Friday - 37.5 hour weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, diagnose, and repair faults in ventilation, plant, and control systems.
- Carry out risk assessments and ensure work complies with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and health and safety standards.
- Investigate equipment failures and complete appropriate remedial actions.
- Install minor works, coordinate with other trades, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure safe and compliant working practices.
- Support and guide colleagues while developing skills through training.
- Communicate effectively with staff and follow operational and safety procedures.
- Strong knowledge of safe systems of work related to HVAC, control systems, and general construction.
- Ability to identify faults, analyse issues, and implement solutions.
- Experience contributing to design and build projects.
- Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation and safe isolation procedures.
- Mechanical engineering qualification (ONC/HNC or equivalent).
- Self-motivated, confident, and able to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Experience using facilities management or building information systems is desirable.
