Job Description

Contract Type: (Inside IR35)
Hours: 36 per week, Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
We are seeking an experienced FRA Carpenter to support a peak in project workload. This role involves carrying out essential fire safety works across council properties, ensuring compliance with British Standards and delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Fitting new fire doors, repairing frames, and upgrading existing doors.
- Installing electrical enclosures and fire-related plasterboard.
- Carrying out fire stopping works in line with regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records and completing minor administration tasks.
- Working to the highest quality standards with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
- Proven experience working with fire doors and components.
- Strong understanding of fire safety standards and British Standards.
- Full UK driving licence (van provided).
- Ability to work independently with an innovative and proactive mindset.
- Excellent quality management and record-keeping skills.
- Strong customer relationship and communication skills.
