A key focus will be on the maintenance of HVAC systems, oversight of the site's Building Management System (BMS), and the day-to-day operation of cooling towers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled (planned) and unscheduled (reactive) maintenance across the site, identifying opportunities for service and performance improvements.

  • Ensure that all necessary materials and consumables are available to carry out maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Provide accurate parts lists and estimated timelines for remedial works when required.

  • Prepare and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments to uphold safe working practices at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized condition in all plant rooms and technical areas.
  • Supervise subcontractors on site, ensuring all works, especially those involving electrical and FM tasks, are carried out to standard and within safety protocols.
  • Be prepared to cover shifts during staff absences due to holidays or illness, including working flexible or unscheduled hours when needed.
  • Work independently when required, following appropriate training and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) as outlined in the contract.
  • Represent the company professionally in all interactions with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.
  • Support emergency situations and respond promptly to ensure continuous operation of site services.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience working in a facilities maintenance environment.
  • Familiarity with CAFM systems
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build good working relationships with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
Additional Requirements:
  • Commitment to safe working practices, including the proper use of PPE and uniform at all times.
  • Flexibility to adapt working hours based on operational needs.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as directed by the account management team.
