Job Title: Housing Officer
Location: West London (office & site-based)
Contract: Interim/temporary (full-time, 5 days per week on-site)
Rate: £29.49 per hour (umbrella) Start: ASAP
The Role We’re recruiting an experienced
Housing Officer to manage a patch in West London. You’ll combine office-based duties with regular estate and home visits to deliver a high-quality, resident-focused housing management service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a varied caseload across general needs and leasehold (where applicable).
- Conduct estate inspections, tackle hazards and compliance actions, and follow up on repairs.
- Handle tenancy management: sign-ups, successions/assignments, tenancy reviews and visits.
- Provide early intervention on rent arrears and sustain tenancies with tailored support plans.
- Address low–medium ASB cases, working with community safety and partners as needed.
- Progress voids & lettings efficiently: viewings, suitability checks and move-ins.
- Safeguarding-first approach; escalate and coordinate with support agencies.
- Maintain accurate records, case notes and reports; follow policies and legal frameworks.
About You- Proven experience in a Housing Officer/Neighbourhood Officer role (local authority or housing association).
- Strong knowledge of tenancy management, ASB tools, arrears protocols and voids/lettings processes.
- Confident conducting site visits, inspections and resident meetings across a defined patch.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and report-writing skills; IT-literate (housing systems/MS 365).
