Compliance Officer
3-6 month ongoing contract

£28.56 p/hr umbrella
Role Purpose Sitting within the compliance team, supporting the Hard FM statutory compliance program for all Corporate Buildings to ensure all surveys and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) are being completed, appropriate documentation received, filed correctly and reviewed to put forward any recommendations requiring remedials to appropriate decision makers to assist in maintaining the council’s statutory responsibility following both the council’s and industry best practise standards.
Responsibilities- To communicate effectively with suppliers and contractors, both internally and externally for the capture, recording and distribution of all required surveys and routine PPMs across a broad spectrum of building mechanical and electrical services as well as all other compliance matters and building safety matter.
- Assist suppliers and contractors with any access issues to properties and play a key role in planning, completing and agree visits with Premises Controllers to prevent any absorptive visits as well as to monitor attendance.
- Chase contractor or supplier for all outstanding documentation that has not be obtained within the KPI timeframe and update the Council’s CAFM system (Technology Forge) with all updates and certification once received.
- Review reports coming in for crucial remedials that are recommended to be carried out by the report and flag up requirements to relevant decision makers in good time to prevent jeopardize any aspects of reliability of equipment, building or breach in compliance.
- Keep record of all recommended remedials, sign off approval and instruct relevant suppliers and contractors to carry them out whilst monitoring KPIs for completion.
- Updating the Council’s CAFM system (Technology Forge) with all completion of the remedials.
- Maintain the Hard FM’s Compliance trackers to be as accurate as possible and a true reflection of the council’s state of compliance for accurate reporting.
- Reporting on a monthly basis state of compliance throughout the estate as well as per each discipline and have corrective actions in place where items fail KPIs.
- Supporting all premises controllers at all satellite sites to have up to date compliance files with relevant certification in case of any internal or 3rd party inspections.
Requirements - Previous experience in a similar compliance role is essential
- Experience working in housing associations or council
- Demonstrable accurate data entry skills with excellent attention to detail to update a CAFM system with relevant notes, assign work order directly to engineers and approved service contractors and to follow up with such team to ensure each work order is closed down in a timely manner
- Demonstrable IT literacy with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & Outlook
Contract- Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend
- PAYE via Umbrella
- Mon-Fri 9am-5pm in the office (candidate will have to commute into office daily. Based at SW6 6LL.
