Job Title: Procurement Officer (Property & Accommodation)
Location: North West London (Hybrid Working)
Rate: £27.70 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced
Procurement Officer to support the procurement of good-quality temporary and private sector accommodation in
North West London. This role plays a vital part in meeting the Council’s statutory duties to homeless households and other vulnerable client groups.
The successful candidate will have proven experience
procuring properties, working directly with
landlords and accommodation providers, and leading negotiations and meetings to secure value-for-money accommodation.
Key Responsibilities- Negotiate and procure suitable private sector accommodation to meet statutory housing duties
- Source accommodation of appropriate type, size, quality, and location
- Establish and develop relationships with landlords, letting agents, hoteliers, and emergency accommodation providers
- Lead meetings and discussions with landlords and providers to secure best terms and value for money
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and accommodation standards in line with legislation
- Ensure all accommodation procured meets suitability and regulatory requirements
- Procure accommodation for other Council services, including care leavers, NRPF households, and mental health services
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to performance reporting
Essential Requirements- Proven experience in property procurement within the private rented or temporary accommodation sector
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience leading meetings and discussions with landlords and accommodation providers
- Knowledge of homelessness legislation and accommodation suitability standards
- Valid business insurance and use of a car for business purposes
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid role
