Role Title: Arboricultural Asset Officer
Location: North West London (Hybrid)
Rate: £250 per day (umbrella)
Contract: 3–6 months, with possible extension]
About the Role We are seeking an experienced
Arboricultural Asset Officer to support the effective management of trees and green assets across North West London. This hybrid role combines office-based planning with on-site inspections, ensuring the Council’s tree stock is safe, healthy, and managed in line with statutory and best practice requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and assess the condition of trees across the estate, identifying risks and required works.
- Manage arboricultural assets, keeping accurate records using asset management systems.
- Oversee contractor performance and ensure works are delivered to specification, within time and budget.
- Provide technical arboricultural advice to colleagues, stakeholders, and the public.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of tree management strategies and policies.
- Support compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and health & safety requirements.
About You You will bring a blend of technical arboricultural knowledge and strong communication skills. Key requirements include:
- Relevant arboricultural qualification (e.g., Level 3/4 in Arboriculture or equivalent).
- Proven experience in tree inspection, risk assessment, and asset management.
- Good understanding of legislation and standards relating to tree management.
- Ability to work both independently on-site and collaboratively with internal teams and contractors.
- Strong IT skills, including the use of asset management or GIS-based systems (desirable).
