Area Sales Manager – Construction Equipment Region: East Midlands & South Yorkshire

Elite is proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturer of construction equipment to recruit an experienced and results-driven Area Sales Manager. Covering the East Midlands and South Yorkshire, this role offers the opportunity to represent a high-quality product range in a well-established and competitive territory.
This is an ideal position for a self-motivated sales professional with a strong background in heavy plant or construction machinery sales, looking to join a supportive and performance-focused team.
Key Responsibilities- Take full responsibility for sales across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire, managing all commercial activity within your territory.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers across construction, civil engineering, plant hire, and related sectors.
- Promote the full product portfolio through site visits, demonstrations, and tailored commercial proposals.
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets through new business development and account growth.
- Provide accurate pipeline forecasts, territory analysis, and customer insights to regional management.
- Represent the business at trade shows, regional events, and customer open days.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth end-to-end customer experience from enquiry through to delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date CRM records and ensure thorough documentation of all sales activities.
Experience & Requirements- Minimum 5 years' experience in field-based sales, ideally within the construction, heavy plant, or earthmoving industry.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and managing a defined territory.
- Solid technical knowledge of excavators, construction machinery, or similar equipment.
- Strong local market knowledge and an established network within the region is highly advantageous.
- Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite for reporting and planning.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the region.
