Job Title: Sales Manager - Heavy Plant Equipment Location: Remote (Field-based with extensive travel within Brighton, Kent, Essex, and London)
Salary: £45,000 - £48,000
OTE: £90,000 - £100,000 (once established)
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our growing team, responsible for selling and managing a full range of heavy plant equipment, including large wheel loaders, dumpers, and excavators (8t+). This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-established company with a technical background in the construction industry. You'll leverage existing accounts while focusing on winning new business, providing customers with tailored solutions, and offering technical support.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the sales of a full range of heavy plant equipment (8t+), including wheel loaders, dumpers, and excavators.
- Focus on both new business development and maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Provide timely, accurate quotations for potential orders.
- Assess customer needs and present customized, technical solutions.
- Offer technical support and advice to customers.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, ensuring efficient issue resolution.
- Keep track of competitor offerings and strategically position our products in the market.
- Develop a deep understanding of the products and solutions offered.

The Ideal Candidate:- Proven technical background, ideally from an engineering or heavy plant equipment field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently, managing your own workload and responsibilities.
- Experience with CRM systems, particularly Dynamics 365.
- Skilled in cold calling and business development, with a strong focus on new business generation (80/20 split).
- A solid understanding of technical specifications and the ability to present customized solutions based on customer needs.
- Strong drive, appearance, and motivation to succeed.
