Job Title: Service Planner (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Ellesmere, Shropshire
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 DOE, Annual Bonus, 25 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays, Company Pension, Healthcare Scheme, Full Training Provided.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Service Planner / Service Controller to join a Market Leading Manufacturing business based in Shropshire. This is a company who pride themselves on their customer service, reputable brand, and business culture.

As a Service Planner, you shall be tasked with planning and co-ordinating all aspects of service work, ensuring Service Engineers are fully utilised, whilst ensuring all administrative duties are carried out effectively and accurately. This is an initial 12-month fixed term contract, which holds a good possibility of the role being offered permanently if successful. The role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Administration of documentation i.e. generating estimates, raising purchase orders, invoices and follow up paperwork.
• Plan and assist Scheduling Service work both Commercial and Warranty where needed.
• Manage the engineers’ workload, ensure daily contact and communication with the engineering team and keeping customers regularly updated over the phone and via email.
• Ensure parts and workshop supplies are ordered and delivered on time to ensure jobs are executed in line with planning.
• Support the service team regarding any service administration tasks, as well as processing repair and maintenance contracts.

Requirements of Role:

• Previous experience in a Service Controller, Service Administration, Customer Service, Call Centre, or Administration based role
• Must have a good telephone manner
• Good Customer Service and Administration experience
• Preferably hold experience working within a Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, or relatable industry - preferred but not essential
• Strong use of IT systems
