Social Worker - Duty & Assessment team£36.00 per hourLancashire37 hours p/w, hybridAbout the role:We are looking for a Children's Social Worker to join a Duty & Assessment team in Lancashire on a temporary basis. 
As a social worker in a Duty and Assessment role responds to urgent concerns about a child's safety or well-being by conducting child and family assessments, making immediate safety plans, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure the child is protected and linked to appropriate, longer-term support if needed. 
Key duties include:
- Carrying out Section 47 and Section 17 enquiries
 - Creating robust care plans
 - Preparing for and participating in formal case reviews
 - Maintaining strong professional relationships with children, families, and partner agencies to deliver effective safeguarding and welfare services.
 
What you need:- A degree in Social Work or equivalent
 - Registered with Social Work England
 - At least 3 years PQE direct employment within English Local Authorities
 - Completed relevant post-qualifying training
 - Enhanced DBS check
 - Excellent communication and written skills
