🔍 The Role
As a key member of the Assessment Team, you will:
- Carry out Child & Family Assessments to determine risk, protection needs, and necessary interventions.
- Work directly with children, families, and partner agencies including health, education, and police.
- Manage a varied caseload, including Child in Need, Child Protection, Pre-Proceedings, and Court Work.
- Create and implement tailored care plans that promote early help, community support, and lasting improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews, ensuring the best outcomes for every child.
👤 Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a Qualified Social Worker who is:
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experienced in working with children and families from vulnerable backgrounds
- Confident in delivering high-quality assessments and working in multi-agency settings
- Skilled in direct work, with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Knowledgeable in Child Protection legislation, and passionate about early intervention
- Able to work creatively, flexibly, and reflectively in a fast-paced team
- Committed to delivering services that are person-centred, empowering, and culturally sensitive
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualifying experience
