Are you an experienced Qualified Social Worker with a passion for early intervention and safeguarding? This is your opportunity to join a fast-paced, child-centred Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team in the West Midlands, where you’ll be at the frontline of protecting children and families.
Working in a highly collaborative, supportive environment, you’ll assess risk, identify need, and help ensure timely and proportionate interventions that lead to long-term positive outcomes.

🔍 About the Role: As a key member of the MASH team, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting swift, high-quality assessments of risk, protection, and care needs.
• Leading and progressing Section 47 enquiries where required.
• Working alongside police, health professionals, education, and Early Help services.
• Making informed decisions and recommendations on the next steps for children and families.
• Ensuring accurate and timely information sharing between agencies.
• Contributing to robust safeguarding decisions that prioritise children's welfare from the outset.
• Maintaining clear, evidence-based recording that informs future planning.

✅ What We’re Looking For: We're seeking a confident, capable professional who can thrive in a busy MASH environment. You’ll need:

• Registration with Social Work England and a recognised Social Work qualification.
• 4+ years’ post-qualified experience in children’s services.
• Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, safeguarding thresholds, and statutory guidance.
• Confidence in working autonomously, managing high volumes, and applying professional judgment.
• Excellent communication, assessment, and information-sharing skills.
• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary, inter-agency setting.
• A calm, analytical mindset under pressure – with the ability to act quickly and proportionately.
