Specialism: Care Leaver Development
📍 South Yorkshire | 💰 £37 per hour | 🕑 Part-time – 2.5 days per week

Are you a passionate and experienced Social Worker ready to make a lasting difference in the lives of care-experienced young people? We’re looking for a dynamic Advanced Practitioner to join a dedicated Care Leaver Development Team in South Yorkshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking service that supports young people leaving care to build strong foundations for a safer, brighter future.

🔍 The Role
In this role, you’ll:

Lead meaningful, direct work with care-experienced young people and their families.
Complete in-depth assessments and care planning, intervening early to ensure better long-term outcomes.
Work alongside key partners including police, health services, and early help teams.
Contribute to safeguarding work, including Section 47 enquiries, Initial Child Protection Conferences, and permanency planning.
Help bridge the gap between social care and local community support by promoting sustainable, positive change.
Offer guidance and support to students and unqualified staff, helping shape the next generation of social care professionals.

💡 What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who is:

A qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
Experienced in working with vulnerable children and families – including care leavers.
Confident in risk assessment and care planning.
Knowledgeable of child protection legislation and best practice.
Skilled in building strong, trust-based relationships with young people and families.
A collaborative team player, comfortable working across disciplines and agencies.
Emotionally intelligent, flexible, and resilient – with a drive for continuous improvement.
Minimum 4 years post-qualified experience required.
