Are you a passionate and experienced Qualified Social Worker looking for your next opportunity in Fostering? This is your chance to join a dedicated and forward-thinking team making a real impact in the lives of children and families.
As a member of this Fostering Team, you’ll play a vital role in discharging the local authority’s responsibilities under the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation – focusing on children in need, those requiring protection, and looked-after children.
You’ll benefit from regular 1:1 supervision, group reflective practice, and ongoing support in a team that values your skills, voice, and professional growth.
 
🔍 Key Responsibilities:

• Complete assessments of foster carers, families, and children
• Ensure safe, appropriate placements are made and maintained
• Build strong, supportive relationships with children and carers
• Manage a varied caseload, applying social care legislation and policy
• Work in partnership with multi-agency teams to safeguard children
• Develop and review individual care and support plans

 
✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Registered Social Worker (Social Work England)
• 4+ years' experience working with children and families
• Strong knowledge of Child Protection, CIN, Court work
• Skilled in conducting assessments, reviews, and direct work
• Excellent communication, mediation, and negotiation skills
• Creative, flexible, and committed to continuous improvement
• Experience in interagency, multidisciplinary work
