💷 Pay Rate: £30 per hour
Are you a compassionate and experienced Qualified Social Worker with a passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join a collaborative and forward-thinking Adult Services Learning Disabilities Team in West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives, working in a multi-agency environment that puts individuals and their families at the heart of everything we do.
The Role
As a Social Worker in this specialist team, you will:
- Manage a varied caseload, acting as the named worker for adults with complex needs
- Undertake strength-based assessments and develop personalised care plans
- Safeguard adults at risk, intervening with legal and procedural authority when necessary
- Collaborate with professionals across health, therapy services, and external care providers
- Help people live as independently as possible while supporting their rights, dignity, and choices
- Provide guidance to unqualified staff and students as part of a supportive team environment
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings empathy, resilience, and professionalism to their work.
To be considered, you must have:
- A recognised Social Work qualification
- Registration with Social Work England
- 4+ years of post-qualified experience in adult services (including learning disabilities)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and relevant adult social care legislation
- Excellent assessment, communication, and planning skills
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary settings
- A commitment to promoting independence, inclusion, and person-centred care
