🌟 Qualified Social Worker – Children & Families
📍 North East | 💷 £32 per hour | 🕘 Flexible Hybrid Working

Are you an experienced Social Worker passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? We're working with a forward-thinking local authority in the North East looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Children & Families Safeguarding Team.

This is a hybrid role — typically 2 days in the office, 3 days at home (flexible to service needs). You'll handle complex cases, contribute to court proceedings, and play a central role in multi-agency planning.

👶 About the Role
In this frontline safeguarding role, you’ll manage a varied caseload and support families through:

✅ Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), PLO & Court proceedings
✅ Completing Child & Family Assessments
✅ Chairing Core Groups and Child in Need meetings
✅ Writing reports and care plans for children in care
✅ Preparing and presenting court evidence
✅ Attending PLO meetings and working within the legal framework
✅ Engaging with families to build trust, support change, and safeguard children
✅ Liaising with police, education, health, and legal professionals

👤 Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:

✔ A Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work degree or equivalent
✔ Registered with Social Work England
✔ Experienced (3+ years) in Child Protection, CIN, and court work
✔ Confident in managing risk, writing reports, and navigating legal processes
✔ Skilled in multi-agency working and care planning
✔ Passionate, resilient, and focused on achieving positive outcomes for children
