📍 North East | 💷 £32 per hour | 🕘 Flexible Hybrid Working
Are you an experienced and confident Social Worker ready to make a real difference? We’re working with a forward-thinking local authority in the North East, looking for a Senior Qualified Social Worker to support their Children & Families Service.
This is a non-case holding role ideal for a skilled practitioner who thrives on complex assessments, court work, and supporting frontline teams.
👶 About the Role
In this dynamic, varied role, you’ll work across the North East supporting social work teams with standalone assessments and court-related tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing standalone assessments (e.g. parenting, pre-birth, risk)
- Writing PLO letters and final evidence (with guidance)
- Attending court and supporting proceedings
- Providing input and advice on complex cases
- Collaborating with frontline teams to improve outcomes for children and families
✅ What You'll Bring
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A Qualified Social Worker (degree or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experienced (3+ years) in Child Protection, PLO, or court work
- Confident in writing high-quality assessments and reports
- Skilled at navigating legal frameworks and attending court
- Comfortable supporting other practitioners and offering guidance
- Passionate about safeguarding and delivering high-impact interventions
