Are you an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker looking to make a real difference? Join a dedicated Children with Disabilities team in Merseyside and help shape brighter futures for children and their families. You’ll manage a varied caseload that includes Children in Need, Child Protection, and Court Proceedings. You’ll be supported by a strong team structure and trusted to manage your diary flexibly – as long as visits and statutory responsibilities are met.

🧠 What You’ll Need:

• Social Work qualification & registration with Social Work England
• 4+ years post-qualifying experience in statutory children's services
• Strong knowledge of Child Protection legislation and procedures
• Experience working with children with disabilities and complex needs
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and risk assessment skills
• Ability to build trusted relationships with children and families
• Confidence working in a multi-agency environment

 
🛠️ What You’ll Do:

• Carry out assessments of risk and need
• Devise and implement person-centred care plans
• Manage a realistic caseload
• Contribute to court work including viability assessments, CPRs, and final evidence
• Support unqualified staff and students
• Work collaboratively with partners across health, education, and early help
