💰 Pay Rate: £29 per hour

Are you a passionate and experienced Social Worker ready to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people? We're working with a forward-thinking local authority in the North East, looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Children in Care team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment, where your work truly impacts children’s futures.
🌟 What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a capped caseload of 18, giving you time to focus on quality over quantity
- Building strong, meaningful relationships with children, families and professionals
- Carrying out Child & Family Assessments with clarity, empathy, and purpose
- Supporting children and families through Child in Need, Child Protection, pre-proceedings, and court
- Delivering high-quality care planning and direct work to improve long-term outcomes
- Ensuring all interventions are strengths-based, inclusive, and culturally competent
- Working closely with a supportive Team Manager and enjoying regular supervision
- Balancing office, field, and home-based working to suit your needs
- Registered with Social Work England
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualified experience working with children & families
- Experience in Children in Care, Child Protection, and Court work
- A confident communicator and compassionate practitioner
- Able to demonstrate effective risk assessment, planning, and review
- Knowledgeable in key legislation including the Children Act 1989/2004
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a multi-agency setting
- Someone who’s committed to continuous improvement and child-centred practice
