About the role:
Social work post within the Children's Disability Team.
- If successful you will be expected to be office based for a minimum of 3 days per week, however this could be more depending on the demands of the service
- Previous experience of working with children with disabilities, either in a current post of recent social work post
- We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced social worker who can work autonomously and be a team player, to support and work alongside colleagues within the team.
- have good communication skills, working with children who are non-verbal and have individual communication needs
- complete assessments for children and their families
- Undertake court work and PLO work
- Complete short breaks assessments
- work with a variety of professionals in health, education and social care
- Cover duty within the team
- respond to safeguarding matters and carry out section 47 enquiries where appropriate
To be considered for this post you must be registered with Social Work England and at least 3 years’ post qualifying experience across permanent positions in England.
What you need:
- A degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Registered with Social Care Wales/ Social Work England
- Completed relevant post-qualifying training
- Enhanced DBS check
- Excellent communication and written skills
