Senior Tableau Consultant

 

Senior Tableau Consultant required by growing consulting firm with international presence. 

 

Joining the Managed Service team, this is a client-facing role that will see you support Tableau solutions for key customers.  You will be responsible designing and building Tableau dashboards as required to support business needs.  You will configure, optimize, maintain and manage Tableau Server and will support ETL/data transformation. 

 

To be considered you must have strong skills in the following:

 

• Tableau dashboard & report development
• Tableau development good practice
• Tableau development performance tuning
• Good familiarity with SQL and data querying
• Experience performance tuning and troubleshooting Tableau workbooks 

• Tableau server install & upgrades
• Tableau server resource monitoring
• Tableau server admin & config
• Tableau SAML/SSL
• Tableau server management (TSM)
• Azure VM management
• Azure admin, e.g. backup & restores

 

A broader understanding of Azure (Load Balancers, etc.) would be advantageous, and any knowledge of PostGres, Windows Schedulers, Batch / Powershell would also be a plus. 

 

Alongside your technical skills you must have strong communication skills and will be confident operating in a client facing role and interacting with and sometimes even challenging stakeholders

 

This role will require occasional (but minimal) travel to customer sites and visits to the company offices for events, get togethers and important meetings.  There is lots of flexibility to work remotely.
