Job Description

Pertemps Recruitment is currently seeking reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operatives to support Royal Mail operations in Newcastle. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established organisation and play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
Your Role
  • Clean operational areas including sorting floors, staff rest areas, toilets, and offices.
  • Maintain high cleanliness standards in high-traffic environments.
  • Follow COSHH and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
  • Complete routine cleaning checklists and report site needs.
  • Work as part of a cleaning team or independently across large areas.
 
Requirements
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential training to be provided on site for the right candidate.
  • A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions.
  • Reliability and good timekeeping.
 
Other Information:
  • Working Hours: Monday to Saturday 09:00-14:00
  • Pay Rate: £12.71
  • Duration of Assignment: 31/08/2026
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne City DO, Forth Street, NE1 1AD
