Social Worker - Looked after children Team

You will be responsible for progressing work within the statutory framework for Looked After Children which would include ensuring Looked After Children Reviews, Personal Education Planning Meetings, Looked After Children Medicals are progressed within statutory timescales. You may also be working with a cohort of unaccompanied asylum seeking children and will be expected to take part in age assessments in their respect. Co-located with our LAC CAMHS clinicians, the Virtual School for Looked After Children and our specialist health and mediation services you be skilled and experienced in working together to design creative interventions which improve outcomes for the boroughs looked after children and care leavers. The role demands close collaboration and good working relationships across both the integrated LAC service but also across the wider Camden social work service and the multidisciplinary Camden network. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
The successful candidate will hold a professional qualification in Social Work and a valid Social Work England registration. ENHANCED DBS REQUIRED
