Job Opportunity: CSCS Skilled Operative- Highways

Location: Various onsite locations- Depot Dartford 
Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay: £42,000 annually 
Overtime: Available and paid at time and a half

About the Role:

Join our client in the highways industry as a Skilled Operative! You'll be involved in various civil works, ensuring everything is done safely and to high standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general civil works: working at height, installing lanterns, erecting signs, laying ducts, reinstating, cabling, and groundwork.
• Operate heavy machinery like HIAB or grab wagons.
• Handle excavation tasks, both mechanical and manual.
• Build cabinet/feeder pillar sites.
• Construct chambers to highway and utility specs.
• Identify and solve risks and problems on site.

Requirements:

• Ability to do manual work, including trenching and cable laying.
• Comfortable with night shifts and travel.
• Willingness to undergo training.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must have a current CSCS card 
• Signage experience is a plus but not required- you will be trained in this also.
