Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of children in care, ensuring that each child's care plan is reviewed and updated to reflect their needs.
* Work closely with foster carers, residential staff, and other professionals to achieve permanence and stability for the children.
* Participate in court proceedings when required, providing evidence and updates on the child's progress.
* Conduct regular visits to children in care placements to assess their well-being and promote positive outcomes.
* Collaborate with multi-agency partners to provide holistic support for children and young people.
* Develop strong relationships with children and their families to promote their long-term success and happiness.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified and registered Social Worker with relevant post-qualification experience in children's services.
* Experience in working with children in care, particularly in managing complex cases and care proceedings.
* Knowledge of fostering, adoption, and the statutory framework for children in care.
* Ability to work flexibly and manage a varied caseload with competing priorities.
