Location: Sowton, Exeter
Salary: £12.21 per hour

Are you an organized and proactive individual with a passion for inventory management? We are looking for a Stores Manager to join our team in Sowton and take charge of our stock room operations. This role offers plenty of room to make a difference and truly shape the stores management processes.

The Role:
As the Stores Manager, you will be responsible for managing the stock room operations, ensuring that inventory levels meet production requirements while minimizing excess stock. You will continually assess and improve stock management processes, implement control systems, and ensure that all storage areas meet compliance and safety regulations. This is a varied role where you’ll work closely with the Insite Manager and Client to forecast, plan, and replenish inventory as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organisation and Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in store operations and logistics.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with your team, customers, and other departments. Provide excellent customer service, resolve complaints, and ensure customers have a positive experience.
  • Reporting and Policies: Manage store policies, prepare and follow up on quotes, and ensure accurate reporting and recordkeeping. Maintain inventory logs and other key records.
  • Inventory Control: Develop and implement stock control systems to maintain accuracy and minimize waste.
  • KPI and Target Delivery: Consistently meet specific KPIs and targets in line with business requirements.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with your team to ensure inventory is managed effectively and that all processes are followed.
Person Specification:
  • Strong customer service skills and knowledge of business practices
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Well-organized with excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Strong ability to implement and enforce processes and policies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
