Procurement Lead - Base salary c£60k p.a. – Hybrid / Daresbury officeA rare opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Lead to join a global organisation that deliver IT infrastructure solutions and bring IT solutions to life from initial deployment through upgrades and decommissions.
The role:- Manage complex procurement activities or processes at a country-wide level.
- Administer contracts, control costs, and ensure on-time delivery in accordance with program requirements.
- Negotiate favourable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with supplier. May be involved in follow up of large projects.
- Ability to lead a small team (<10) in operational tasks management:
- Strategic procurement
- Supplier Management
- RFPs
- Managing across all assets
- Comms
- Software
- Engineering support
- Testers
- Fleet
- Health & welfare
To apply you should have the following skills and experience:- Procurement experience gained in managing supply chain environment/logistics and or vendor management.
- Solid negotiations experience
- High level of budgeting & planning skills
- Complexity and problem solving – Ability to own and solve complex tasks that are part of a large project and/or may work on complex projects of large scope. May lead small projects on own.
- Advanced knowledge and expertise within a specific technical or professional discipline with an advanced understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
- Collaboration & Influencing skills – Strong relationship builder with the gravitas to interact with and influence key stakeholders on significant matters.
- Procurement Industry recognised certifications
