Our client is a respected Structural, Civil, and Geotechnical Engineering firm with offices in Leeds and Manchester, delivering a full range of engineering services across the UK.
About the Company Our client has been providing professional engineering solutions since the early 1990s, offering expertise from initial feasibility and pre-planning through to detailed design, project delivery and construction support.
This consultancy specialises in multidisciplinary services including structural design, geotechnical and environmental engineering, civil infrastructure, topographical and geo-environmental investigations for a wide variety of sectors including residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. Their engineers are highly qualified, many holding or working towards Chartered status, and are supported by modern design technology and collaborative working practices.
The Role As a Structural Engineer, you will work within the structural engineering team on a varied portfolio of projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the development and delivery of structural designs from concept through detailed stages.
- Preparing calculations, drawings and reports to support engineering solutions.
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, civil and building services engineers.
- Supporting project planning, technical reviews and reporting.
- Contributing to site visits, inspections and checking contractor submissions.
You will have the opportunity to work on projects that span from small-scale building design through to complex structural challenges – all within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Location & Working Pattern- Role based in Manchester.
- For the first 10 weeks, you will be expected to be in the head office in Leeds 1–2 days per week to support onboarding, team integration and project kick-offs.
What We’re Looking For- Degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in structural design and technical engineering.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and engineering packages.
- Strong technical judgement, excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Working towards or holding Chartered status is desirable.
