Location: Leeds
Job Type: Full-Time | Part-Time | Long-Term | Day-to-Day Supply
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £90–£120 per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role
The Education Network is working closely with a number of primary and secondary schools across Leeds and surrounding areas to recruit dedicated and resilient Pastoral and Behaviour Mentors.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and succeed both academically and personally.
You will work closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and pastoral leads to provide targeted support, build positive relationships, and promote positive behaviour across the school.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or additional needs
    • Providing 1:1 and small group interventions
    • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
    • Acting as a positive role model and trusted adult
    • Supporting pupils inside and outside the classroom
    • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or pastoral needs
    • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
    • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
    • Ability to build positive and trusting relationships
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Flexibility, reliability, and professionalism
    • Backgrounds in education, youth work, care, or mentoring are welcome
