What You’ll Do
As a Social Worker, you’ll:
  • Conduct assessments under relevant legislation to identify care and support needs.
  • Co-produce and review care plans with citizens and carers to achieve their personal outcomes.
  • Manage a caseload, prioritizing workload and maintaining accurate electronic records.
  • Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to secure resources and deliver services.
  • Participate in office duty rotas, supervision, and team meetings to drive best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and equal opportunities policies.
  • Mentor students or colleagues (Grade 9) and contribute to training programs.

Who We’re Looking For
Grade 8 – Newly Qualified Social Workers
  • Less than 2 years post-qualified experience.
  • Ready to undertake studies to meet Social Care Wales CPEL framework requirements.
  • Passionate about learning and making a difference from day one.
Grade 9 – Experienced Social Workers
  • Over 3 years of practicing experience.
  • Skilled in managing complex cases and supervising student Social Workers.
  • Able to provide supervision, coaching, and mentoring as a Practice Assessor.
  • Meet the Social Worker Career Progression Framework requirements.
  • Bonus: AMHP or BIA/AMCP qualifications are a plus!

  • Have excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to case management.
  • Be dedicated to continuous professional development and maintaining Social Care Wales registration.
